Easily WCW. It was awesome from 96-98. WCW had technical up and comers like Eddy Guerrero, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit putting on top quality matches along with talented cruiserweights like Rey Misterio and Syxx. Then they had the headline talent from the past like Hollywood Hogan, Ric Flair, Roddy Piper and Lex Luger. But WCW also provided the cool new breed of talent like Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Konnan. The nWo is the best faction ever, it was so original and edgy. The nWo drove WCW to the top and changed the wrestling world forever. With that going on in the main event and phenomenal matches on the under card by guys like Dean Malenko and Benoit, how could you not like WCW from 96-98? It was a great promotion although I give the original ECW some credit too. They pioneered the cruiserweights in America thing and had some really compelling storylines, especially Raven/Dreamer and Raven/Sandman. ECW was very entertaining but didn't tick all the boxes to be a major promotion.

ECW! E C DUBBIA! E C DUBBIA! E C DUBBIA!
It was unique, popularised the hardcore style of wrestling in North America. Some of the best wrestlers wrestled there like Raven, Taz, RVD, Bam Bam, Sabu, Corino, Justin Credible, Lance Storm, Chris Jericho and Eddie Gurerroe. Speaking of that last three, it wasn't just hardcore wrestling, ECW featured some of the most technical wrestlers and matches in wrestling history. As mentioned above ECW pioneered the cruserweights, they brought in Rey Mysterio jr, Psycosis, Super Crazy, Tajiri, Little Guido and much more. It featured the best storylines and fueds. The attitude era was (arguably) based off the ECW attitude. The company grew from a small time NWA promotion to a huge PPV promotion with everything that was needed to become great.
